The Bidung Geog
The Bidung Geog Administration is humbled to receive 10 numbers of medical commode/ bed side toilets as a donation from Royal Society for Senior Citizens.
The vision for RSSC is to aspire and become a vibrant civil society organization that seek to harness the experiences, expertise, skills and knowledge of retired senior civil servant and corporate employees to enhance the wellbeing of the people of Bhutan.
One of the initiatives of RSSC is to distribute the commodes to the senior citizens of Bhutan who face difficulties while going to toilets due to aging.
It is a collaboration among Bhutan Toilet Org, Ability Bhutan Society and Royal Society for Senior citizen.
The Gewog administration joins together in celebration for this little success which was initiated by the Geog Thrizin himself to promote elderly care and social welfare in the gewog.
In this regard, a small Thresel ceremony was conducted in collaboration with kakaney Dratsang to bring serenity and for more successes down the line.
The administration led by the Thrizin went to each household to instruct and to do practical demo on the usage of the commode along with the distribution.
The Health Assistant from Bidung PHC also collaborated with the team to check upon the senior citizens who finds it hard to visit the health center.
